My wordsmithing usually finds an audience with fellow archivists and family historians, but under the anonymity that goes with writing for a day job.

Working closely with the documentary history of South Australia, I am also a keen observer of this present age. I find myself drawn to stories of quiet and sometimes hidden heroes, and those sweet moments in which a character’s purpose becomes clear. It's both a professional and personal joy to shine light on the names of those often overlooked or forgotten.

You will find my work in the inaugural edition of the InScribe Journal of Creative Writing (February 2021: The basis of every good story), and the tenth edition of Stories of Life (November 2025: When despair for the world grows in me). Both of these works were set, in part, in the middle of the night surrounded by birds.
My draft Take Flight (a novel with only a passing reference to birds), was a finalist in the Omega Writers 2023 CALEB Award for Unpublished writers.

In 2025 I commenced the Graduate Program for Creative Writing and Communication at Tabor College, Adelaide. I enjoy the chance to play outside of my comfort zone, writing across genres and formats.

I am an active member of Omega Writers: Australia's Christian Writers Network.

I take courage from Exodus 4:12 and God’s promise to equip anxious Moses with His words, and the skill to use them.
Thanks be to God for the privilege to wield words under His care and calling.
